About Me

Hi there! I’m Brenda, a marketing and communications professional based in the Roanoke Valley. My journey began behind the lens, working as a videographer driven by a passion for crafting meaningful, inspiring stories through film. That creative foundation naturally led me into the world of marketing, where I discovered how compelling visuals and strategic content can elevate a brand and connect with audiences in impactful ways.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to build hands-on experience across a wide range of disciplines, from photography and graphic design to public relations, internal communications, and social media management. More recently, my focus has expanded to web design and content management, allowing me to combine visual storytelling with strategic, user-centered digital experiences.
I’m originally from Mexico City and came to the U.S. as an international student to attend Roanoke College. My time at Roanoke College shaped not only my education but also my commitment to giving back. Today, I’m proud to volunteer as a digital content writer with Latinas Network, and it’s been incredibly meaningful to help share the stories of amazing Latinas who are doing powerful, inspiring work across the Roanoke Valley. Take a look at my work here!
Alongside that mission, I’m also passionate about helping young professionals find their voice and footing in the advertising and communications world. Right now, I’m serving as President of Ad2 Roanoke, where I get to team up with some incredible people to create opportunities, foster growth, and build a supportive space for the next generation of industry leaders.
